Be sure that your passport is up to date and won’t expire before you return home. If you need to renew your passport or do not have one start working on that right away as the process can take up to 8 weeks. There is a rush service available but that it typically much more expensive.

How much money should I bring on my trip?
That depends on where you are going exactly, how long you’ll be there, and if you are going to an all-inclusive resort. If you are going to an all-inclusive resort you don’t need much cash at all but bring some for tipping. Most places you travel you will be able to use Visa and Mastercard, but be sure to keep your credits cards or wallet in a safe place at all times while traveling.
